I've been really debating whether or not to jump in and do mini sessions like I see many other photographers doing out there. I wasn't sure that I was up to the organizational side of it.
But, you know what, it's time to give it a serious go. It requires quite a bit of set-up and on-top-of-it-ness (yeah, just made up a new word)...not entirely my cup of tea. I am on a steep learning curve here folks because, while I know my way around a camera, I'm a relative newbie when it comes to automation, websites, social media etc. I try my best but it is overwhelming to say the least. I hack away at it in my spare moments and I'm learning, I'm learning.
Today, miraculously, the kids gave me some time to sit and actually plan this whole thing out (or at least the bulk of it). I am in the midst of potty training my youngest, however, so there were quite a few breaks to clean up the "misses". Every time she starts peeing on the floor M says "It was just an accident! It was just an accident!". I'll give you one guess as to how I ended up cleaning pee off a windowsill and a good length of wall from pretty high up...
Yup. She somehow got on top of the shelf in the play room and had "just an accident" right there. Oh the joy! I just have to stay the course...I can do this!
Anyway, mini September sessions are on their way folks. I'll be opening them up on a few weekends only but with quite a few time slot options to hopefully work with schedules. I'm excited to be able to give anyone who has come across my work but is not ready for the full treatment to get a taste of what a session is like. I think it's a really great deal and is a great opportunity to get ahead on those fam photos for the holidays!
They will be taking place right here in Santa Rosa. Details to come.
First to get access to bookings will be those on my mailing list so, if you are not signed up yet, sign up right here to be in the know! ( I promise I will not be spammy...I don't have time to be spammy. I'll only send the essential info which will be only now and then):
